Grocery & Convenience Store Shelves

You only need two basic types of grocery store shelving to upgrade your displays.
Creating more aisles space is simpler and more efficient when you use display units that are compact and adjustable. Double-sided grocery store shelving lets you do this. Measuring only 48” across, these units snap together and lock, creating an aisle of any length that runs vertically or horizontally through your grocery store. You can buy taller shelving for groceries, and then buy smaller shelves that can be arranged perpendicular to the main aisles where seasonal products, pharmaceuticals, and magazines can be displayed.

These grocery store shelves are adjustable, and they allow you to store more products on displays that may be shorter in height, but offer more total cubic space and weight capacity.
You see, each shelf can hold 350 pounds and can be moved to any position on the top, middle, or bottom of the rack. This lets you put larger, more expensive items at eye level to catch the attention of shoppers. To overcome the tendency of top shelves to block light from items at the bottom of the rack, you can vary the depth of each storage shelf as well. This allows for evenly distributed illumination to reach all product labels and show them in full color without any dark spots obscuring their legibility.

No doubt you also have some gaps in your wall displays that other grocery store shelving you have considered is too large to fit. This results in wasted space that could be used to showcase valuable merchandise. The importance of making the most of every square inch of wall space is very significant to grocer’s who own small, neighborhood food stores. Any wasted area can be a missed opportunity for a sale.

You can overcome this will single-sided grocery store shelves that can be fit into pesky corners that are gathering dust, or squeezed between the space between refrigerator units and side doors. This is because our wall shelves are much smaller than those of many of our competitors. Like their double-sided equivalents, they only measure 45” across and are very lightweight when empty. It takes only minutes to slide them into a new spot to run a special or put up special Christmas items for holiday sales.

Because each shelf can support 350 pounds of weight and can be moved to any vertical position within the display, heavier items can be safely moved to the top where they have a better chance of catching a shopper’s attention. Also, being able to vary the depth of these commercial shelves adds even more power to the presentation, because by varying shelf depth one can see to it that every row of products gets an equal amount of light without any shadows obscuring labels, prices, or colors. An added benefit these units give you is the ability to save money on standard end cap displays. You can simply buy a few extra, used single-sided grocery store shelving displays and place them at the end of the aisles.
