Pneumatically Operated Oil Filter Crushers

Oil filter crushers do more than you would think. You may assume that a machine that crushes a can is only a rudimentary tool of destruction and elimination. On an functional level this may be the case, but beyond the actuality of the mechanics, they offer tangible financial benefits for the companies who are smart enough to invest in them.

The most obvious of these benefits is consolidated storage space. We talk a great deal about saving on storage space with pallet racks. Please be aware that there are many other ways to reduce wasted space as well. Getting rid of materials that clutter corners and sections of the floor immediately frees up areas used to store debris, trash, and disposables. Common sense indicates that crushed filters take up far less room in storage areas and pose much less of a trip hazard.

Another advantage to using these oil filter crushing devices is a reduction in disposal costs. Government regulations specify that used filters are a form of hazardous waste. There are always expensive fees attached to getting rid of hazardous waste—especially if you do not do it right. When filters contain traces of residual oil, there are penalties attached. Oil filter crushers drain this excess oil prior to disposal, eliminating penalty costs in the process.

Another advantage that air powered oil filter crushers offer you is an improvement in facility safety. By draining filters, you will eliminate oil spillage which will cause severe slip and fall hazards in your facility. These units will not only to flatten filters, but also capture and contain excess oil so there will be no risk of worker injury in and around the places where crushed filters are subsequently stored.

Consider too how oil filter crushers will help our environment. Many companies are now being pressured by both the government and public opinion to be more environmentally proactive. Many have even improved their profit margins substantially by proving renewed environmental awareness to their customer base and the public in general. Showing the public that you have taken proactive steps in ridding the environment of a toxic and hazardous substance goes a long way toward improving the company image. In a vertical market where this may not be directly beneficial, think of how avoiding penalties that can be imposed for environmental contamination will save you money you would otherwise lose.

Oil filter crushers are safe and affordable to operate. Most run on shop air through pneumatic pumps. The absence of motors saves money on maintenance costs and electrical power costs. For some applications a powered unit may be necessary, however. In these circumstances, Easy Rack has units that operate on electric-hydraulic power. Crushing power ranges anywhere from 13,000 lbs for smaller units all the way up to 37,500 pounds for units designed to crush 55-gallon drums. Ask your Easy Rack specialist which oil drum crusher or oil filter crushers will best meet your waste disposal needs.

Transportation Cabinets & Gas Cylinder Equipment

It is important to safely store and organize LP gas storage tanks. It is also very important to rapidly move tanks in a safe and ergonomic manner to save time and reduce work hazards associated with lifting and transporting. Easy Rack cylinder storage and transport products can provide your organization with products that will help you better perform both of these tasks and more efficiently streamline your process flow. Cylinder storage and transport products are engineered for maximum safely, ergonomic portability, and maximum tank capacity.

Cylinder Storage Cabinets
Steel cabinets are an excellent way to store LP gas tanks. These units feature rugged steel construction and powder-coat safety yellow finish for maximum visibility. Storage capacity of the cabinet varies based upon the size of the tanks stored. Expanded steel mesh sides make the unit strong, but also allow contents to be ventilated, viewed, and catalogued.

The top of the cylinder storage cabinet is a solid sheet of steel. Security comes in the form of lockable doors and lag holes in the base of the cabinet that can be used for securing LP tanks. The unit is engineered for maximum compliance with both OSHA and NFPA standards, and includes red letter signage that reads “Flammable.”

Galvanized Cylinder Storage Cabinets
In certain environments, steel requires galvanization to protect it against corrosion. Galvanized steel cylinder storage cabinets feature a design build that is 100 percent steel, coated with a galvanized rust resistant finish. These cabinets offer the advantage of sturdy, reliable performance in outdoor environments and extreme climates. They are also ideal for coastal ports like Houston and Charleston where atmospheric saline content is high.

Each unit meets OSHA 1910.110 requirements. The sides are made from 4 gauge galvanized welded wires with sturdy 1 ½ inch square steel angle frames. This gives the unit a stable center of gravity on any surface. Additional rust protection comes in the form of a 12 gauge galvanized steel roof. The cabinet also has a padlock hasp for security and a “Danger Flammable Materials sign”. All necessary hardware is included, but does require assembly.

Fork Truck LP Tank Caddy

The Fork Truck cylinder transport caddy can move up to 6 LP tanks measuring 12" in diameter each. It is made of all steel construction and is held in place by safety chains.

LP Tank Truck
This is an all in one cylinder transport cart that allows the user to transport LP tanks to the location where they are needed. Built with heavy-duty welded steel construction and a painted finish, it includes a built-in crane that can be used to safely load full tanks into fork trucks. The crane can pivot up to 360° for maximum versatility.

Workers can raise and lower the crane boom with a simple manual, hydraulic lift hand pump. During transport, each cylinder is held in place by the attachment at the end of the boom. The unit also includes built-in racks that can store two cylinders in the vertical position and four tanks in the horizontal position. Every tank truck also includes a push handle that has two rigid and two swivel casters for easy mobility.

Easy Rack carries a wide variety of used pallet racks, commercial shelving, material handling equipment, commercial lighting, used pallet racking and modular prefab buildings installed nationwide.

Ergonomic Work & Powered Lift Tables

What is Ergonomics anyway?
Ergonomics is the study of motion. When applied to material handling applications, ergonomics worktables improve the quality of the workplace environment. It creates new systems, and improved process flows, reduces the liabilities associated with industrial accidents, and increase profits by bringing general productivity to a higher level.

What are the benefits of ergonomic powered turntables?
When a crew member is working at a work bench, the ability to quickly access an item from any angle helps the worker get a task done more quickly and much more safely. With a powered carousel turntable, an employee can turn the item towards him without having to move around the work bench.

When working on smaller items, such as engine parts, 8-inch units are sometimes used. Larger items like engine blocks and oddly shaped objects are better manipulated on 24 inch units. A worker can more easily access different sides of such an item with a powered turntable. A staff member can also see both the object and the progress of their own work from different vantage points. With this improved accuracy and efficiency, more work gets completed in less time.

How many types of powered turntables does Easy Rack sell?
We sell several models designed for the many specific applications that define warehouse, distribution center, and factory process flow. Our experts will help you choose the right unit for your application based upon the size, shape, and other attributes of the unit. Our most basic electric lift tables are simple bench top turntables that sit on top of the workbench. They will support up to 5,000 pounds, and they enable employees to rotate the item being worked on with little effort. Rotational is maintained by high quality bearings.

Can you adjust the height of an item with any of these units?
With adjustable powered turntables, you can. We sell units in varying heights measuring up to 36 inches. The ability to adjust the height of the unit allows for a maximum range of ergonomic movements. Workers will not only gain full access to every side of the materials, but they will be able to set the height to a level that minimizes arm and back movements and gives them maximum visibility of the item being processed. Adapt the work to the human body in this fashion is ergonomics is really all about.

How safe are these units?
They are extremely safe because they are manufactured at the highest levels of quality and built with the latest turntable lift technologies that let workers to easily elevate objects of up to 750 pounds in weight. The powered rotation helps your employees work smarter, not harder, and to get the job done more rapidly without fatigue or the risk of serious injury.
