There are many different builds to choose from. You can choose from frame supports, air supports, cable net, and cable and strut. Geodesic dome structures and grid shells are also very common to free span shade structures.

Such designs give an added advantage to the reduction of wind and snow loads. They also provide greater flexibility in design than standard building materials.

A great number of advanced outdoor fabrics are employed in the manufacture of these stretched membrane structures. PVC coated polyester fabrics, PTFE coated glass fabrics, stretched membrane structures, PTFE coated glass fabrics, EFTE foils, and polyethylene coated fabrics are just a few of these materials.

These ladders feature some remarkable safety features including spring-loaded casters that retract when you climb the ladder and a Safelock system on steps 5 and higher on larger units.
Every unit is engineered to meet the strictest guidelines of the ANSI and OSHA guidelines. All steel ladders are thoroughly tested and from time to time improved and redesigned through ongoing market research findings and continuous customer feedback and interaction.

Industrial workers can choose from Grip Strut tread or expanded metal mesh, both of which are good for work boots. In very hazardous operations, you can get maximum slip resistance with Performa treads.

Numbers of steps vary per model and size of ladder. Larger, more advanced models can have anywhere from 3-19 steps. Weight capacities are either 350 pounds or 450 pounds. Larger units rolling ladders are engineered with a one and one-quarter inch diameter tubing in the base and vertical back panels which makes them extra stable and abuse-resistant.

Hand Pallet Truck & Pallet Trucks

There are times that you do not need powered tools such as pallet jacks. Manual hand pallet trucks will perform just as well provided they are ergonomic and well-designed. They require less maintenance, and in many cases feature simplicity of design that ensures many years of use. Easy Rack sells a number of models that are designed for specialty applications, weight capacities up to 5,000 pounds, and durable construction to ensure years of reliable service.

Low Profile Pallet Truck
The low profile model is built with a heavy duty suspension system and lifetime lubricated bearings. It is easy to operate with a wide loop control handle that features fingertip control of lift, neutral, and lower functions.

Economical & Standard Ergonomic Hand Pallet Truck
Companies can save a great deal of money by investing in these ergonomic alternatives to forklifts. Built for user friendliness, this model features entry and exit rollers, adjustable push rods, and a spring-loaded handle that automatically returns to a vertical position when idle. Workers can pull them around the warehouse all day long without getting sore arms and backs because these pallet jacks need only 75 pounds of pulling force to function.

Pallet Truck with Scale
This innovative hand pallet truck lets you save a strip to the scales because it has its own scale built in.

Sidewinder Pallet Truck
If your warehouse aisles are narrow and hard to navigate, the sidewinder pallet jack allows you to efficiently move pallets in and out of storage. It has all the features of a standard pallet jack, and it features a capacity of 3,000 pounds and can get into even the tightest of places.

It is built with steel construction, features a push button scale, and has a foot lever activated weight readout. Total weight capacity is 5,000 pounds, and service range is from 3 1/2inches to 8 inches.

Manual & Powered Pallet Trucks

A pallet truck is a material handling device that is used to lift and move pallets. The basic design of a pallet truck is simple, consisting of a frame, two rear wheels, and two forks with wheels located at the front of each fork. A hydraulic jack toward the rear of the unit is attached to the forks. When this jack is elevated, it separates the forks from the front wheels. As the forks continue to rise off the ground, the pallet is lifted off the floor. A locking mechanism is then activated to hold the forks in place during transport.

There are two basic categories of pallet trucks: manual and powered. Within these categories exists a myriad of individual forms whose variations exist to accommodate different operations, different sized loads, and special environments. There is no absolute advantage that one category offers over another. The relative applicability of a manual unit versus a powered unit depends on the environment in which it is used, the application at hand, and the subjective preference of the operator.

In spite of engineering and operational variances, however, there are several attributes that are common to all Easy Rack pallet jack trucks. Safe operability is the most important of these. Because these devices were originally invented to prevent the need to manually lift and carry heavy loads, it is imperative that the hydraulic jack on every type model we sell be quality assurance certified to perform reliably as expected. Jacks must lift pallets to the necessary height and secure the pallet in position with a sure locking mechanism that will not jostle loose if the wheels roll across debris, pass over an uneven surface, or find themselves outside on uneven terrain.

It is also necessary that all types of electric pallet trucks be easily maneuverable in all directions. The operator should be able to push the unit forward in a straight line without the wheels veering off to the left or toward the right. This requires some models to be manufactured with wheels that feature special traction and it means that all units, regardless of model type, are built with steering mechanisms that are responsive to operator movements and easy to turn on command.

Many newer models now feature special ergonomic startup mechanisms as well, such as the power drive accumulator that allows the worker to begin moving the pallet jack just by tilting back the handle. Other models feature special other specialized attributes such as galvanization for heavily polluted or salt-air environments, scales that allow workers to weight the pallets they are moving, gasoline motors built to move heavy loads of up to 4,000 pounds, and tubular design frames built especially for all terrain mobility.

When choosing a tilting pallet jack truck for a particular facility or operation, cost should not be the first factor considered. The cost of using the wrong tool for the right job can often be far greater than making the initial investment in the best tool for the job and improving material handling efficiency and employee safety in the process.

Used Retail Shop Shelving Racks

You may be hesitant to buy anything for your shop this year because of this horrible economy. However, some things are necessary inconveniences simply because without them the presentation power of your shop will suffer. Display shelves are among the things you simply cannot ignore. Drab, warped, dented or chipped shelving can make even the most expensive, high quality items appear diminished in value. If you are looking to put a whole new face to the world, but are scratching your head over where you will find the money to do so, look no further than Easy Rack’s selection of used retail shop shelving units.

These high-quality units feature a high degree of versatility and can be discounted as much as 40% the price of new retail shop shelves in some parts of the country. Replacing worn store fixtures and replacing them with better, more resilient and presentable upgrades, can help breathe new life into your business and help your chances of getting more of a profit in spite of the current recession.

Used retail shop shelving can be used to create a variety of new and creative layouts in your store simply because it is so versatile and easy to manipulate. To begin with, regardless of whether it is a double-sided shelving unit or a single-sided display, each unit measures a standard 48” across. This width makes it easy to turn to one side or slide across the floor when the time comes to rearrange the floor plan. The actual shelves in these used retail shop displays are very resilient and strong. They can support up to 350 pounds in weight and can be moved to any vertical position within the rack. If you have been limited by your current display rack’s weight capacity and have been forced to put larger more expensive products on the bottom, you can elevate them now to a higher position and chance of catching the attention of the shopper.

If you have a very small shop you may be leasing space in a suite with old fluorescent panel lights that produce very limited levels of illumination. Since the light travels straight down, your current display steel shelves may be preventing it from reaching products on the lower portion of the rack. This can be fixed very easily by using our adjustable retail shop shelving instead. Each shelf can not only be vertically repositioned, but its actual depth can be changed to any length between 12” to 22”. This will allow you to stagger the shelves slightly so light gets to all of your products.

Used retail shop shelves may be used, but they bright and colorful, and they are all still in very good condition. Some can save you as much as 40% off the purchase cost of new display units. Call us now for more information about product availability in your area.

Commercial Stock Picking Ladders

Time is money in every area of business, but in some areas, time is more critical than it is in others. Inventory control is one of those areas. Consistent work flow literally means dollars and cents you either save or lose. Stock picking ladders help you manage inventory more quickly, efficiently and safely by giving your workers stable platforms they can easily climb and stand on while doing their jobs.

These units are perfect for small warehouses, stores that narrow aisles, and even heavy traffic areas. They are built to be mobile and compact so you can position them in places you cannot put larger ladders. They are designed with sturdy steel construction, and they are built in full compliance with OSHA 1910.29 & ANSI A14.7 regulations.

Constructed with handrails that employees can hold on to when they climb and stand on the unites, they are incredibly stable and safe to work on in any retail or industrial environments. A number of features make each commercial ladder very mobile, ergonomic, and highly practical for all stocking operations.

To start with, all steps on all stock picking ladders are exactly 24” across. This gives a worker just enough to stand on both feet and balance. You can also order steps with optional safety treads if additional precautions are needed.

Unit heights are from 92 inches to 122 inches. Platform heights are between 50 inches and 80 inches. Different models, of course, come with different numbers of steps. The smaller units have only 5 steps, while the largest units have 8. Every model, though, has a total weight capacitance of 350 pounds and a shelf capacity of 300 pounds.

Mobility is essential in the inventory control business. Nothing is a bigger hassle and more time consuming than having to lift the ladder and manually move it over to the next spot. Lifting also results in back and shoulder strain which no organization wants to risk.

To make things easier on staff, stock picking ladders are built with the same construction features as other types of steel rolling ladders. They are made with sprung casters that allow them to be rolled over the floor and then locked in place by rubber feet when a person climbs the steps. You can easily position them even in the tightest corners and more narrow of aisles with minimal risk of injury.

Many manufacturers also build powered stock picking work platforms that run on 12V marine batteries and winches. Push button controls mounted at the top of the platforms make these models easy to control. Bottom limit switches stops shelves automatically at the top and bottom of the units.

Companies in both warehouse distribution and store front retail sales have consistently reported improved efficiency in inventory control and fewer worker accidents after they made a reasonable investment in stock picking ladders.
