Industrial scales are used to weigh products, raw materials, and heavy objects.  They are a critical part of many operations such as food processing plants, where exact measurements are necessary to maintain profit margins.  The fishing industry also uses industrial scales to ensure that all regulations regarding the catching and preparation of fish are followed.  Some pharmaceutical companies use them for similar reasons as well, and any packaging or distribution center is going to need at least one heavy duty industrial scale to make sure that trucks are loaded—but not overloaded—to capacity. 

Our industrial scales feature quick-connects and factory calibration that provides an easy, allowing "out of the box" setup, and easy user operability.  Four series models are available, measuring either 48” X 48” or 60” X 60”.  Capacities range between 5,000-20,000 pounds, depending on the model.  Standard models feature a lead-epoxy finish, and heavy-duty models come as a stainless steel platter.  Heavy-duty models are also covered with a diamond tread platform. 

Industrial scales are solid platforms built with steel channel-frame design.  This provides strength and protection to load cells, cables, and junction boxes.  Four adjustable legs and 5,000 division load cells give these units maximum stability for any type of weighing application.

One of the most important features on any industrial scale is the measurement indicator.  Without it, no one can read the scale!  Easy Rack offers four different monitor options for every industrial scale we sell.  The standard indicator is our EWI (economical weigh indicator).  This compact monitor is ideal for weighting livestock, trucks, and heavy-duty pallets. 

The EWI indicator can be programmed to measure anything from 10kg to 10 tons, the WI features and is able to convert kilograms to pounds with a touch of a keypad.  The LCD display is backlit, so it is easy to read no matter where it is located.   It works conveniently with a PC/printer through a serial port, and is hermetically sealed to ensure dependability regardless of the conditions.

A number of more sophisticated indicators, designed for certain industries and specialized functionality, can be installed on industrial scales by request.  Advanced, programmable indicators offer dual platform capabilities, 40,000 external divisions, and an NTEP approved rating.  A more affordable programmable indicator can be ordered by companies on a tight budget, and features keyboard tares, a toggle between kg and lbs, and 8,000 external channels.   Spill proof indicators and precision counting indicators are also available for industrial scales.  Ask your Easy Rack specialist about these options.
