Skid Steer Augers and Auger Drives
Easy Rack skid steer augers are designed to transform your skid steer into a heavy-duty drilling tool. They are ideal for virtually any construction-related drilling operation. Heavy duty skid steer augers can be used to remove dirt from areas that are intended for posts, pillars, or poles. They can also drill through concrete. Special skid steer duty augers and auger drives can drill through certain strata and densities of solid rock.
Easy Rack skid steer auger drives are designed for systems operating between 10 and 35 GMP and 2000-3000 PSI. Skid steer auger drives are planetary units that feature heavier components than competing auger drives. Clients have reported that they have consistently outperformed all other drives in their class, and that they can be used for almost any drilling need if fitted with the correct auger.
Each skid steer auger drive requires a hose kit that includes 2 ½ X 96” hoses protect by a sleeve and flat-faced, hydraulic quick couplers. The mounting frame that attaches the auger drive to the skid-steer is also very unique in its power and performance. It features the largest, strongest cradle on the market and even provides a weatherproof tube that allows you to store the owner’s manual on the unit itself. The universal quick-tach fitting allows the auger drive to be mounted to any modern skid-steer loader.
Easy Rack carries five different types of skid steer augers to anticipate and accommodate the drilling needs of construction crews in the field.
Standard Duty Augers
These skid steer augers are most frequently used in places that feature moderate soil conditions. They are excellent tools for drilling in clay, Gulf Coast “gumbo dirt, and mixtures of rock fragments and dirt. These units feature fabricated boring heads, hardened bolt on teeth and fishtail pilots, and consist of a 3/8” double flight and a 3 ¼” tube-shaped shaft. Standard duty augers can be ordered in 6-36” diameter depending on need.
Easy Rack Tree Augers
Similar in size and dimension to the standard duty model, the skid steer tree auger is a step down model that has a smaller diameter at the bottom 12” which drills a hole that is just right for planning trees and scrubs. Tree augers are best used in moderate soil conditions such as clay dirt, sandy dirt, and rocky soil.
Heavy Duty Augers
These extra tough skid steer augers are made specifically for hard ground conditions such as heavy clay, compacted earth, frozen earth, fractured rock, and buried asphalt. Easy Rack HD augers are made with a cast boring head that features replaceable teeth. Diameter sizes range from 4 ½” to 36” depending on need and location.
T-Post Augers
This auger enables your skid steer to drill “T-post” holes in any type of dirt. It is especially useful in tough soil conditions such as frozen ground, solid rock, and even concrete. This model features a 2” diameter, replaceable carbide pilot and solid stress-proof shaft to minimize the chance of breakage. This auger can easily drill post holes up to 30” in depth.
Heavy Duty Rock Augers
When facing the most difficult drilling conditions imaginable, use an Easy Rack HD Skid Steer Rock Auger. Engineered with a welded pilot and intended specifically for solid rock, asphalt, buried concrete, compacted earthworks, and frozen soil, its replaceable carbide bullet teeth and steel shaft make this heavy duty skid steer add on the most powerful weapon in your drilling arsenal. Diameter sizes range from 4 ½” to 7” for smaller units, and from 4 ½” to 36” in larger models.
