This means they use a magnetic or electronic ballast and gas filled light bulb as opposed to a standard incandescent filament style light bulb. High pressure sodium wall packs are the most efficient light source but, produces a orange/white color which is not always aesthetically pleasing. Metal halide wall packs, on the other hand, produce a white light which may be more attractive and appropriate for your security lighting needs.
