A great way to protect facilities, restricted areas, equipment, and sensitive materials is to use bollard posts. One or more of them will provide an effective barrier against industrial and material handling equipment impact but nevertheless allow pedestrian traffic to move freely into and out of areas.
Most bollard posts are made from steel and are treated with a powder coat finish, although some are painted with chrome for decorative purposes. In most industrial environments, the standard color is safety yellow because it provides high visibility at loading docks and ramps.

Each unite features a 1 ¼” diameter opening in the side of the post near the top for cigarette butt disposal. A removable top allows for the bollard to be periodically emptied. The top is lockable with a padlock to prevent unauthorized tampering and/or vandalism.
Folding bollards allow outdoor traffic areas to be closed to vehicles when the post is locked in the vertical position. When the way is clear, the bollard can be lowered to the ground to allow material handling equipment to roll safely over its surface.
This offers an excellent and very valuable safety feature for docks and loading ramps where people are working in the entranceway and vehicle traffic has to be temporarily stopped until they have completed their worked and cleared the way.
