Learn How Portable Jib Cranes Save You Time & Money

Portable jibs save you time and money.  You do not have to pay for the cost of pouring a concrete foundation which would be needed to mount a larger, fixed unit.  Additionally, you save money on the time you would have to wait for a concrete foundation to dry.

With portable cranes, the only concrete you have to pour is the concrete that fills the base of the unit.  This gives it the stability it needs to manipulate weights ranging from 250 pounds to 1000 pounds. If you are really pressed for time to get started on your project, you can even pay to have the portable jib prefilled with concrete and shipped ready for use.  There is a higher freight cost for this, but sometimes rush projects find it worth the extra investment to get started as soon as possible.

The biggest benefit a portable crane will offer your facility is the ability to place it closer to equipment, manufacturing machinery, cargo pallets, and truck beds.  There are even units you can buy to go inside your truck bed or van cargo bay.  This makes is simpler and quicker than ever to load a small truck or van from the inside using a precision piece of equipment designed specifically for that task.

For larger applications, the ability to swing the I-beam in a full 360 degree arc allows you to service a circular area that another crane design would not accommodate with nearly as much accuracy or efficiency.

One of our more popular portable jibs is the air balanced jib lifter.  It combines high performance, high safety, and low cost with adaptability to a variety of material handling applications using more light weight products. With the right attachments, the air balanced portable jib can manipulate objects of varying material builds, shapes, and packaging styles.

The pneumatic vacuum lifter, for example, makes it much easier to manipulate objects that feature a non-porous, flat surface.  By pushing a button, you use vacuum air to grab the product and hold it while you maneuver it with the air balance jib lifter.  You can then press the release button to turn off the vacuum and release the object.

The scissor lift action lifter is another specialized attachment used to manipulate tubing, pipes, and other cylindrical object.  The double hook lifter is much like the standard lifter on any portable jib, only it has two hooks that make it easier to grab a wide range of standard and non-standard sized and shaped objects.
