Forklift Work Platforms

There are many instances where companies have to elevate workers and materials for specific jobs. Forklift works platforms attach to forklifts and accomplish this safely, efficiently, and economically. Forklift work platforms can be used both indoors and outdoors for any number of tasks. Companies routinely use them in inventory management, any number of equipment repair operations, lighting and electrical maintenance, and building repair.

No matter what type of forklift platform you use for your work, there are certain essential qualities every platform should have that you should be on the lookout for. Your forklift platform will have to be strong enough to support workers and equipment without buckling or bowing in the middle. It must have some kind of enclosure as well to prevent workers and supplies from falling to the ground. If possible, addition precautions such as skid-proof decks and toe guards should be built into the design. Last but not least, and Easy Rack recommends you invest a little extra as well in models that screen workers from forklift masts.

Currently we have three major lines of forklift work platforms that are designed to be highly maneuverable and access difficult places with maximum safety and time efficiency.

Industrial Forklift Platforms
These platforms will attach to any standard or industrial sized forklift and can fit through openings as narrow as 3’. A variety of fork sizes ranging up to 6” wide by 2 2/4” thick can access the platform, which is then secured in place by a positive pin locking system that holds it in place. Workers remain safe from the forklift because they are shielded at all times by a safety protection screen that extends vertically from the base of the platform and prevents workers from coming into contact with the mast. Full perimeter rails provide a safe, stable work environment. The unit replaces uses a front mid-rail gate that closes and locks in place as a safer alternative to a gate that could swing open unexpectedly.

Slip-On Style Forklift Platforms
These forklift attachments are designed to reach over obstacles that normally require a boom to access. Much smaller, more economical, and faster than scaffolds, they are ideal for both indoor and outdoor projects that require safe, quick elevation of workers. Aerial platforms further ensure worker safety with skid proof decking that minimizes the risk of slippage, and full perimeter guard rails that feature toe guards and tie offs for lanyards.

Quick-Tach Style Forklift Platforms
This platform separates work space from material storage space by placing workers on one platform and materials on the other. Supported by adjustable vertical supports, the materials platform is rated as 600 pounds capacity. Workers stay inside the safe perimeter guardrails that feature toe guards and lanyard tie offs identical to aerial models. To make the unit super safe, your material handling specialist can have mast protection built into it at the time of manufacture. Skid proof decking, easy and safe access to tools, and skid-free work space make this the most versatile attachment to use for multiple applications.

The central piece of warehouse equipment is the forklift truck and material handling fork lift accessories!

The warehouse is in many ways the heart of any industrial operation. As the source of equipment, raw materials, and the core of both dispatch and inward handling of goods, any process failures within the warehouse can have very significant long term effects on your whole business. Having a smoothly operating orders system in your business will have a very positive effect on operations, and pay off in the long run in the form of greater productivity and profits.

The cornerstone of efficiency is providing the most appropriate warehouse equipment for your staff in order to make sure that whatever duties they have to carry out can be done easily and without error. Errors causing accidents, injury and damage to product are the greatest cause of unnecessary cost in the workplace, and in general, these errors can largely be avoided through the use of the proper warehouse equipment. Most errors seem to occur when personnel use improper equipment to perform a task, and because the warehouse equipment or warehouse lighting equipment that they are using is ill suited to the job, rather than being a specialist piece of kit, they must compromise on their work, and potentially cause damage.

The central piece of warehouse equipment is the forklift truck. These versatile machines are custom designed for moving equipment and materials around efficiently using fork lift accessories. Fork lifts are the basis for many other pieces of warehouse equipment such as special fork mounted hoppers and even drum hoppers that have been designed in order to make carrying unusual and unwieldy objects around much more simple.

Using the forklift as the core of your warehouse equipment will give you the chance to make lifting and carrying equipment from one place to another easier and quicker. It will be necessary to put wide aisles between any commercial shelving to provide access for the forklift, and this means a larger warehouse is required. Higher shelving units and pallet racks allow for more intensive use of space, but in turn require a forklift with a higher reach, and this has implications for cost and training.

The field of warehouse equipment encompasses a wide range of different items, and while not all of them require specific training for staff, time spent on improving the understanding and safety that can be observed by employees will pay off in the long term thanks to better efficiency, fewer accidents, and a more productive warehouse supplying all areas of your business.

All Terrain Pallet Truck - Pallet Jack - Heavy duty all terrain pallet truck is lightweight yet its strong tubular frame design handles evenly distributed loads up to 2,000 lbs.

Pallet Truck with Scale - A pallet jack with built in scales allows you to weigh your material on location to maximize employee efficiency. Pallet truck frame has a heavy duty steel construction for strength and durability.

Big Wheel Pallet Truck - Pallet Jacks - Big front wheel heavy duty pallet truck is a new piece of material handling equipment that facilitates moving products or bulky material over uneven floors. Load capacity is 4,500 lbs.

Sidewinder Pallet Truck - Transport long bulky loads down narrow aisles with this heavy-duty pallet truck. This versatile and durable pallet truck retains all the quality workmanship of a standard hand pallet truck in addition to providing lateral movement.

Chrome, Galvanized, Zinc and Plated Pallet Jacks - Engineered for corrosive material handling or wet environments these full featured pallet jacks were designed for laboratories, chemical, pharmaceutical and wash down. Stainless Steel Pallet Jacks with Stainless Steel Frame & Forks - Designed for sanitary, pharmaceutical, medical, food and damp environments. Stainless Steel Pallet Jacks offer long life in harsh environments.

Power Assisted Ergonomic Pallet Jacks - Pallet Trucks - Anyone who has operated a fully loaded pallet truck knows the most strenuous part is starting the wheels rolling. This Pallet Truck solves this back breaking problem. Pumping the handle of the pallet truck serves two purposes. First, it serves the traditional purpose of lifting the forks. Second, switch to the power drive accumulator and by pulling the handle back, the pallet truck begins to roll automatically, thus reducing the pulling force.

Nose Wheel Pallet Truck - Pallet Jack - This type of pallet jack is designed to position pallets or skids closely in a row. The fork end is set back from the front rollers allowing for one pallet pick up at a time. The unit has a rubber grip handle with a three lever position for easy operation and maneuvering. This heavy duty unit is rated at 5,000 pounds capacity and has a service range from 3-1/2" to 8". Unit includes two articulating steering wheels and two front load rollers. Spring loaded loop handle automatically returns to vertical position when not in use. Extra long 45" forks are used with standard 48" long pallets. Short 38" forks are used for maneuvering in tight spaces.

Economical Hand Pallet Truck - Pallet Jack - Our quality built hand pallet truck is an economical and safe way for employees to move loaded pallet skids without a fork lift.
