Almost any balanced container, product, or item can be stored on an industrial shelf. Just as long as the object has a flat bottom, it will safely balance on the supporting shelf. Round containers can also be stored on industrial shelves provided they have a sufficient diameter on both ends that will allow the cylinder to rest securely on its end.

Used industrial shelves are available in all sizes, designs, and weight capacities. Light weight shelves are often used in offices.
