This electric hydraulic dock safety barricade represents the next generation of innovative loading dock safety systems. It is built around an ergonomic electric lift that allows for quick and effortless operation. Simple up and down buttons make the unit easy to operate with one-touch convenience.

The dock barricade operates on a robust 1hp motor prewired for 115volts. It features 24volt control as just one of its many quality attributes. This barricade can be installed in a matter of minutes by simply lagging it to the floor and plugging it in.

Plastic Chain Barricades
Plastic and chain barricades are portable, lightweight units that are easy to position where needed the most. You can select from either floor-mounted or ground-stake design depending on the application. The chain snaps into position onto post hooks. Each unit includes two hooks per order.

Metal bollards are extremely durable protective barriers and can handle impacts from a variety of material handling devices such as pallet racks, forklifts, and scissor lifts. Traffic bollards can be used to protect any sensitive storage area, storage materials and racks, and restricted access points including parking and loading docks.

What are the best pipe bollards to use both indoors and outdoors to protect work areas, racking and personnel?
Steel Safety Bollards are the best general model to use in and around a facility. Manufactured with welded steel construction, each unit is powder coated with safety yellow finish. Molded rubber bollard caps are removable on 4½" and 5½" diameter units to allow for concrete infill. Steel caps are welded on the 1¾" diameter units.

Each base plate measures 8" x 8", on the 4.5 and 5.5 units (5" x 5" on the 1¾" units), and includes four pre-drilled mounting holes. Easy rack supplies mounting kits and replacement bollard caps when needed.

Do you have anything other than yellow bollards?
Yes, Easy Rack carries chrome-plated bollards for decorative needs. Chrome is a highly attractive metal on anything, including a bollard. Chrome-plated bollards will improve the image of your facility and at the same time protect people and equipment. Every unit is made of steel and finished with attractive bright chrome plating for a clean fresh look. A black plastic bollard cap or cover is removable to fill the pipe with concrete for greater strength and stability.

What is the most effective bollard for safety in hazardous areas?
Spring-loaded metal bollards provide maximum safety and protection. They are designed to serve as a visual and audible warning to personnel. They feature a unique spring-loaded bollard design will bend and not break like rigid bollards. This works to prevent damage to the bollard and to any equipment that may hit it.

Spring-loaded metal bollards can also be ordered with optional light/siren. The light/siren unit includes sensitive switches that will activate a strobe light and warning siren when contacted. The unit is highly energy efficient and operates with two 9V batteries (not included). Installation is simple—the light/siren slides directly into the top of the pipe.

A great way to protect facilities, restricted areas, equipment, and sensitive materials is to use bollard posts. One or more of them will provide an effective barrier against industrial and material handling equipment impact but nevertheless allow pedestrian traffic to move freely into and out of areas.

Most bollard posts are made from steel and are treated with a powder coat finish, although some are painted with chrome for decorative purposes. In most industrial environments, the standard color is safety yellow because it provides high visibility at loading docks and ramps.

Although square bollard posts are used in some places, most Easy Rack clients prefer round steel bollard posts. Steel Bollard Posts are used outdoors to protect buildings and supplies and are also used inside warehouses to protect against forklift collisions.

Easy Rack also sells smoker's bollard posts that are designed specifically for cigarette smokers. They have proven themselves to be excellent motivators to encourage employees in the safe disposal of cigarettes that otherwise get tossed on the ground to burn near chemicals and shoes.

Each unite features a 1 ¼” diameter opening in the side of the post near the top for cigarette butt disposal. A removable top allows for the bollard to be periodically emptied. The top is lockable with a padlock to prevent unauthorized tampering and/or vandalism.

Folding bollards allow outdoor traffic areas to be closed to vehicles when the post is locked in the vertical position. When the way is clear, the bollard can be lowered to the ground to allow material handling equipment to roll safely over its surface.

This offers an excellent and very valuable safety feature for docks and loading ramps where people are working in the entranceway and vehicle traffic has to be temporarily stopped until they have completed their worked and cleared the way.

A removable Bollard comes with a sleeve that can be set in concrete to hold the bollard. When access is needed into an area that is protected by the bollard, simply lift the bollard out of the sleeve. Replace the bollard in its sleeve to reinstate the protective barrier. The folding bollard provides a secure, adjustable, barrier to secure areas. The bollard locks in the raised position with a padlock (padlock not included). When the padlock is removed, the bollard may be lowered to the ground to allow for access.
