Commercial Stock Picking Ladders

Time is money in every area of business, but in some areas, time is more critical than it is in others. Inventory control is one of those areas. Consistent work flow literally means dollars and cents you either save or lose. Stock picking ladders help you manage inventory more quickly, efficiently and safely by giving your workers stable platforms they can easily climb and stand on while doing their jobs.

These units are perfect for small warehouses, stores that narrow aisles, and even heavy traffic areas. They are built to be mobile and compact so you can position them in places you cannot put larger ladders. They are designed with sturdy steel construction, and they are built in full compliance with OSHA 1910.29 & ANSI A14.7 regulations.

Constructed with handrails that employees can hold on to when they climb and stand on the unites, they are incredibly stable and safe to work on in any retail or industrial environments. A number of features make each commercial ladder very mobile, ergonomic, and highly practical for all stocking operations.

To start with, all steps on all stock picking ladders are exactly 24” across. This gives a worker just enough to stand on both feet and balance. You can also order steps with optional safety treads if additional precautions are needed.

Unit heights are from 92 inches to 122 inches. Platform heights are between 50 inches and 80 inches. Different models, of course, come with different numbers of steps. The smaller units have only 5 steps, while the largest units have 8. Every model, though, has a total weight capacitance of 350 pounds and a shelf capacity of 300 pounds.

Mobility is essential in the inventory control business. Nothing is a bigger hassle and more time consuming than having to lift the ladder and manually move it over to the next spot. Lifting also results in back and shoulder strain which no organization wants to risk.

To make things easier on staff, stock picking ladders are built with the same construction features as other types of steel rolling ladders. They are made with sprung casters that allow them to be rolled over the floor and then locked in place by rubber feet when a person climbs the steps. You can easily position them even in the tightest corners and more narrow of aisles with minimal risk of injury.

Many manufacturers also build powered stock picking work platforms that run on 12V marine batteries and winches. Push button controls mounted at the top of the platforms make these models easy to control. Bottom limit switches stops shelves automatically at the top and bottom of the units.

Companies in both warehouse distribution and store front retail sales have consistently reported improved efficiency in inventory control and fewer worker accidents after they made a reasonable investment in stock picking ladders.

Industrial ladders exist to provide specialized and highly safe vertical mobility for manufacturing or shipping facilities.

Steel rolling ladders provide an easy and safe solution for order retrieval and reaching inventory on high shelves. Easy Rack's rolling ladders includes a special lockable safety gate that prevents kids and unauthorized staff off the ladder.

Our rolling warehouse ladders provides safety features like pushing the gate forward will raise the wheels off the floor and allow for safe access to the ladder, Pushing ladder gate backwards will lower the wheels to the floor that will restrict access to the rolling ladder and allow ladder to be moved.

Easy Rack's steel rolling ladders have a standard climb angle of 58 degrees (contact us for pricing on optional 50 degree less steep angles). The ladder handrail height is 30" from the steps and 34" around the top platform that includes a 4" toe-board. Ladder steps are 24" wide by 7" deep.

Steel rolling ladders provide tangible benefits such as:

  • Unique two-piece design allows warehouse personnel to handle steel rolling ladders for shipping and storage.

  • Steel rolling ladders are manufactured in compliance with OSHA and ANSI A14.7 standards. Side frame is constructed from heavy-duty rectangular tubing that offers maximum strength.

  • Includes lockout feature to padlock steel rolling ladders when not in use. (Padlock not included).

  • Each rolling warehouse ladder is rated at 350 lbs. capacity and has locking grip pads that add stability and prevent the ladder from rolling while in use.

  • Choose either grip strut style or perforated style ladder steps. Rolling ladders have welded steel construction with powder coat finish.

  • We also offer Sideways Wheel Options for even more ladder maneuverability. This option will allow the rolling ladder to turn within its own length and be pushed sideways against shelving units

Many forms of industrial ladders exist to provide specialized and highly safe vertical mobility for virtually any manufacturing or shipping facility that has industrial shelving. Used correctly, industrial ladders convert the vertical cube into workspace with minimal risk of injury. Because industrial ladders not only improve efficiency, but also contribute to OSHA compliance and reduced risk of liability, they constitute a significant portion of any facilities inventory and rank among the most important tools essential to maintaining optimal, efficient operations. In addition to rolling steel ladders, Easyrack carries a number of smaller industrial ladders equally valuable to commercial clients and to homeowners. Our stepladders feature the lightest and strongest grade aluminum, rated from 200-250 lbs, and our folding ladders feature steel construction with powder coat finish and 250 lbs weight capacity. Rubber feet at the base of the ladder provide extra grip and prevent slippage. Stepladders are lightweight and easy to carry and prove ideal for commercial light maintenance work, painting, and wiring work on low ceilings. Stepladders serve as ideal industrial ladders and are also the favored choice for homeowners looking for professional grade materials.

Industrial ladders are key components to any company's inventory. Choosing the right ladder for the right project not only saves on time, but also may save lives. Call Easyrack today at 713-553-1122 and we will answer your questions and help you find the right industrial ladders for your needs.
