Gas Cylinder Storage Racks & Cabinets

While there are many creative and innovative ways to transport and store all kinds of materials, including odd-sized objects such as the ones normally organized in cantilever shelving, gas cylinders must be treated very differently—and very carefully—anytime you move or store them.  Gas cylinders require special storage racks and cabinets specifically designed for the purpose of safely handling and maintaining and inventory of compressed, liquefied gases contained in portable cylinders. 

Failure to properly store gas cylinders will result in severe safety hazards including, but not limited to, fire hazards, contamination of the workplace resulting in toxicity to personnel, asphyxiation, and even possible explosion.  Not only do these hazards represent heavy penalties and fines if your facility is found in violation of NFPA safety codes, but the level of risk these dangers represent literally make it a matter of life and death to properly handle and store these sensitive supplies.

Portable Cylinder Clutcher

This portable gas cylinder rack is designed for lifting and moving LP tanks.  It features ergonomic, automatic operation that allows the operator to simply raise and lower handle while in use.  This portable rack works with gas cylinder diameters ranging between 8½ " to 12½".  It includes two rigid and one swivel caster for easy, ergonomic maneuverability. 

Cylinder Caddies

Transport cylinders safely with these fork-mounted or pallet jack style gas cylinder racks.  These units can hold anywhere from 2 to 6 cylinders each, and they come complete with safety chains to secure cylinders in place.  Made of all steel construction, these units hold cylinders up to 9-1/2" in diameter.

Wall Mounted Cylinder Brackets

These ingenious gas cylinder storage racks are designed to store one LP cylinder each.  The unit is easy to install.  Simply bolt it to a wall and then secure the cylinder with strap.  You can choose either steel or molded plastic construction, and you can also order an optional steel chain for added safety.

Welded Cylinder Torch Cart

Cutting torches with a gas cylinder fuel cell require their own portable rack to safely transport.  The welded cylinder torch cart does exactly that.  It is designed to contain and transport a cutting torch wherever it ss needed.  This portable rack includes gas cylinder tank storage cabinets, torch holding brackets, a torch holding box, and an overhead crane lifting point.  Two handles and fork pockets allow it to be moved either by hand or with a fork truck.  The unit rolls smoothly on two 10" x 3½" pneumatic wheels.

The LP-6 is an all in one cart that allows users to transport gas cylinders to the location they are needed, and then switch out tanks in a safe and efficient manner.  With a sturdy, user friendly design, this unit is the ergonomic solution to the many lifting, transporting, and storing problems associate with LP tanks.  The built in crane can be used to safely load full gas cylinders into fork trucks.  The crane pivots 360 degrees for maximum versatility.  The tank attachment at the end of the boom utilizes steel hooks to securely clamp each end of the cylinder.  Built in racks allow for convenient storage of gas cylinders in two sets of racks.  The lighter, empty gas cylinders can be easily removed from the fork truck by hand and stored in the two vertical racks.  Full gas cylinders can be stored in the four horizontal racks, allowing them to be picked up by the built in crane.  Simply pull the pin, and the top racks pivot outward easily to allow access to the bottom two tanks.  Units feature two rigid and two swivel casters for easy portability, and a floor lock is included to keep the unit immobile while in use.  The ergonomic push handle is bolted in, and is easily removable.  The crane boom is raised and lowered with a manual hand pump hydraulic lift.   This allows one operator to raise the gas cylinder from the storage racks on the unit,  or to lower them from  the fork with a convenient lowering valve.  Units feature heavy duty, welded steel construction with a powder coated, blue painted finish.
