Dock Levelers

Dock levelers are ramp platforms that can be raised and lowered to provide a bridge between the loading dock surface and the interior of a truck trailer.  Dock levelers must be stable and be able to support extremely heavy loads.  Because trailer beds vary so greatly in size, the dock leveler must be able to reach a variety of heights, and they must provide a stable platform that provides traction for material handling equipment, personnel, and odd-sized or cumbersome loads.

Truck Actuated Dock Leveler

The Easy Rack Truck Actuated dock leveler can handle up to 20,000 lbs. of materials and supplies.  It features a lift bypass feature that will prevent damage to obstructions and doors, and it also features an automatic return to cross traffic.  This dock leveler can also be customized upon request.  You can order it with weather stripping if you plan to use it outdoors.  Units can be ordered with legs or without legs if used in front of loading docks.  Additional weight capacity can be built into the unit as well, with strengths ranging from 30,000 to 80,000 lbs.

Mechanical Dock levelers

The Easy Rack mechanical dock leveler is a truly rugged piece of material handling equipment engineered and designed for minimum maintenance.  It is ideal for truck loading and unloading.   The mechanical dock leveler features a smooth operation.  Simply by pulling a recessed chain, you can release the deck and allow it to rise up. 

This unit is manufactured from heavy duty steel.  It features a ¼” checkered plate deck rated at 55,000 PSI.  A 6” industrial strength steel understructure supports the platform and contributes to its exceptionally long life.    The unit also comes with telescopic steel toe guards on both sides that are flush with the platform edge, and the lip itself measures 16” long.  The service range of the entire unit is 12” above and below dock.  For additional stability and safety, the mechanical dock leveler comes with 2 laminated bumpers and can handle loads of up to 50,000 lbs. in weight.

Electric Hydraulic Dock Leveler

This unit is designed to provide state of the art hydraulic lifting at the push of a button.  If your facility has an exceptionally busy dock, we recommend this unit because of its speed and reliability.  When the operated depresses the “raise” button, the hydraulic pump raises the deck and extends the lip.  Once the unit is at the desired level, the operated releases the raise button and deck descends to the trailer bed.   When the truck pulls away, the deck descends to full down position, trips the limit switch and returns automatically to the level support cross traffic position. 

The Easy Rack electric hydraulic dock leveler is available in 1 phase or 3 phase power options.  The unit includes 2 laminated bumpers and a control box with a red emergency stop button.  This is the most powerful unit available in our stock, capable of handling up to 80,000 lbs. in weight.
