Pallet Rack Shelving & Wire Decking.
Wire decking pallet rack shelves are used as support platforms to distribute loads more evenly. Wire mesh pallet rack shelving has load capacities of up to 24,000 lbs. per upright and 6,000 pounds per pair of beams. Pallet rack shelving or decking comes in various thicknesses and mesh sizes. Wire mesh construction also allows for easy selection accuracy and recognition of shelf products and prevents dust, dirt and other rubbish from collecting on the shelves because of the porous nature of wire mesh design.

Wire decking is made in three different styles. With waterfall decking, the wire mesh extends across the top and down the front of the beam to provide more support, and is the preferred pallet rack shelving. Reverse waterfall decking can provide containment of a loose material to prevent the material from falling behind the pallet rack system. Pop in wire decking rests inside the step of the beam, and wire mesh does not waterfall over the beam. Some types of decking are made with solid metal instead of wire mesh. Even though the solid decking provides a greater distributed weight capacity, it is discouraged by fire inspectors because sprinkler systems cannot spray through the shelves to levels below.
