What types of traffic barricades do you sell?
Easy Rack sells traffic barricades in two basic designs. Poly cade barricades are made to resemble small “walls” that can be used to block off areas from people and vehicles. They can be used as standalone units, or they can be put together in tandem to make an artificial wall spanning a roadway, runway, or entire parking lot. Larger barrier traffic barricades are barrels that are constructed from special materials that can be filled with sand, gravel, or even water to make them heavy and resistant to large vehicle impact.

How can these traffic barricades be used?
They can be used to control both vehicle and human foot traffic in almost any public or commercial space. We see them almost every day in parking lots and roadways under construction. We also see them used to block off areas where hazardous materials are stored. Chemical companies typically use some sort of traffic barricade to prevent people and equipment from being damaged by exposure to dangerous materials and industrial bi-products. Many forms of machinery in large factories can also be potentially unsafe if untrained employees, clients, or visitors to the factory get to close.

Amusement parks frequently use orange traffic barricades to keep underage children away from areas intended only for adolescents and adults. In the material handling industry, some of our biggest poly cade traffic barricade customers are construction companies. These companies often buy large numbers and various sizes of both types of traffic barriers to actually create traffic control pathways on construction sites.

Because they are used much more outside than inside facilities, traffic barricades and post protectors are rust proof and UV resistant, making them both rain and sun proof as much as current technology permits.

What colors and sizes do these traffic barricades come in?
Orange traffic barriers are the brightest and most visible choices, and they are made even more visible to people by means of reflective striping that works as a mirror to natural and artificial light. In some settings the bright orange and silver color, however, looks unsightly. If you are setting up traffic control for a public official’s motorcade, for example, you don’t him or her to have the red carpet treatment, not the orange barrel treatment on the way to the speech. A granite or white barrier is more appropriate for such an event.

Other areas that often prefer traffic barricades in granite or white colors include corporate headquarters, public universities, libraries, and parks. Construction companies typically prefer orange or yellow as these are industry-standard safety colors.

Easy Rack Guard Rail Systems allow you to custom build effective and powerful crowd control barricades. Easy Rack guardrails are both sturdy and customizable; and you can choose galvanized models, poly barricades or our structural c-channel guard rails when constructing your vehicle and crowd barricades.

Both galvanized and c-channel guardrails are built to deliver maximum durability and protection. They can be used to create crowd barricades ranging from one, two, or three rail high systems. The tubular posts upon which they are mounted are machined for continuous or perpendicular rail mounting.

US D.O.T. guardrail mounting and I-beam posts can also be ordered from your Easy Rack specialist, who will supply you as well with post mounting hardware included in your order.

Floor mounting kits can also be ordered separately from Easy Rack.

Galvanized Guard Rail
A double guard rail system makes for an excellent crowd control and vehicle impact barrier and is easy to create by mounting two rails onto a single post. This enables the barrier to protect both a higher area and a larger perimeter.

For locations where vehicle impact is just as much a concern as crowd control, barriers can be constructed by mounting overlapping rails to spring post. Your Easy Rack expert can help you customize rail and post lengths and also equip you with flexible poles for maximum torque/impact absorption.

90º Curved Galvanized Guard Rails
To build an effective crowd control barrier around the corner of a perimeter, we recommend you use curved galvanized guardrails angled at 90 degrees. This helps direct traffic around the corners of parking lots at outdoor events and festivals. It also works good at corners of driveways to direct traffic.

Specialty End Guards
Heavy-duty end guards protect your crowd control barricades from vandalism and vehicle impact on railing ends. They attach easily to the ends or corner connections of any railing system.

C-Channel Guard Rail Systems
Barricades built out of C-Channel guardrails add maximum strength and protection to crowd control. Their drop in place design protects personnel and machinery and makes assembly and disassemble quick and safe. The rails can be removed in a matter of seconds. Easy Rack customizes rail lengths upon request.

A drop-in and bolt-on style rail design can also be purchased that enables you to create a crowd control barrier that is super impact resistant and highly visible with a powder coat safety yellow finish. Made from triple ridge corrugated rails that are constructed from 1/8" thick material and are highly impact resistant, these structural rail barricades can be mounted indoors as well as outside using steel base plates that measure 10" square and are 5/8" thick. Assembly equipment is included with your order, and Easy Rack can also install your barricades upon request.
