  Drum Pallets.
The standard pallet is the most common storage item currently in use around the world, and many of the storage solutions offered by Easy Rack and other companies that specialize in offering warehouse furniture and shelving units have been designed specially to fit the pallet. From fork lift trucks through to shelving, there are many items that you will find in almost any ware house that have been built to the specifications of the pallet (itself designed around the standard width of a modern forklift), and this must be an important consideration in planning your storage area. Unfortunately, standard wooden pallets are unsuitable for the storage of regular 55 gallon drums, and special drum pallets are required for holding these heavy and unwieldy items safely.
While standard wooden pallets are fine for holding smaller and lighter items such as boxes of materials, the heavier weight of drums require a much more robust solution. It is now possible to buy special drum pallets that can support the extreme weight of fully laden drums containing liquid or powder.
