Shade Canopies

Shade canopies provide important protection from the sun�s damaging rays.  Easy Rack has shade protection products in a wide range of UV shade factors that are designed for specific environments and applications.  Some are intended for commercial environments, while others are made just for residential yards.  We also carry sun protection screens for playgrounds so children can enjoy being outside without suffering from the deleterious effects of sunburn.

UV factors include 45 percent, 63 percent, and 80 percent.  Easy Rack shade cloth can be used in many different types of sun control structures.  The shade canopy is stretched tight over a support structure and provides shelter for humans, animals, and in some cases, even plant life underneath.  Common applications include awning, tension structures, and garden structures.

Easy Rack shade canopies can also be used in playground environments.  This protects children from both UV radiation and temperatures which can cause heat exhaustion and heat stroke.  We also have fabrics that can be used to shelter people on school campuses and outdoor areas near hospitals.  The UV factor you select really should be chosen on the basis of what you are looking to protect people from.  If the primary concern is heat, then a lower UV factor is acceptable.  If the biggest concern is sunburn, then a higher UV factor will be necessary.

Athletic facilities use shade canopies too.  Some sports can actually be played under the larger canopies so players do not get so hot in the sun, or suffer from sunburn during competition.  Other models are made to stretch over seating areas so fans can watch the game from the shade.  This not only protects them from heat and ultraviolet radiation, but it also keeps sunlight out of their eyes so they can better see the players and the ball in play.
